Intro
Let me introduce myself. My name is Juan Carlos Gamo, and I have been passionate about technology forever. After a lot of time, different jobs and effort, I landed an IT job over twenty years ago. It has been a fascinating trip, full of challenges, defeats and successes.
Now, the time has converted my resume into obsolete, and if luck is with me, my career is crystal clear. No more changes in the Horizon, only commitment to projects, people and challenges. Despite the omnipresent dark clouds on the horizon.
This is a tiny personal project with no other pretence. I hope you like it.

Managing a local subsidiary of a multinational company put me in a privileged place to view, feel and touch a lot of new and more "classical" technologies, challenging me to improve, learn new things, and technologies and be a manager and not only a tech guy.

My other big interests in addition to technology are photography and travelling.
I spent a lot of time drawing and with watercolours as well. I love it, but it was a time ago...
Maybe now, in these uncertain times, with the world upside-down after the pandemic, the old hobbies will come back :-)

A lot of milestones have been covered since I started as a junior programmer, before jumping to system administration and project management.
This sector is always fascinating, the databases before the ERPs, the Web, the mobile revolution, the virtualization, the cloud, the IoT... Always changing, always learning.
